Fr. Francis Gulzar
Vicar General of Archdiocese of Lahore
Parish priest of St. John Parish Youhanabad.
St. John Bosco is well-known name around the world due to their beautiful work and Salesians are continuing that mission. I feel personally happy and satisfied with the Salesian work. When I look back to myself as a young seminarian, I also change myself and dreamed to do something for the youth. And now when I visit Don Bosco and witness the efforts of Salesians, I really feel the fulfillment of my own dreams because lot of work is being done for the youth. I am very grateful to God for Don Bosco because it is very significant institution of the Archdiocese of Lahore. Don Bosco teaching Technical skills and taking care of those youngsters who were idle before but now they have a place. What I like most in Don Bosco is a methodology. Young people have time to play, time to pray and time to learn their technical skills. Our youth is not learning skills in Don Bosco but rather than skills they are learning professinality. I would like to congratulate Don Bosco because they do not abandoned the youth after teaching them technical skills but they look sometimes jobs, businesses and try their level best to settle them properly for their future life. That’s why I want to congratulate all the Salesians Fathers for their work and for their upcoming website. Secondly being a vicar General I would like to extend my gratitude to them for their hard work and efforts to promote and defend our faith for the future generations.
